A pleasant surprise! A small, very cozy restaurant operated by a husband & wife. After he retired from his career, they bought this location and turned it into a very successful restaurant. She is the Chef. He is the Host & Server extraor- dinaire! They both welcome guests as family. The food is delicious; the variety of libations is amazing! I look forward to the next visit!

Very typical Portuguese cuisine! We made a stop in Montemor-o-novo on our way into the Alentejo. The A Adega was a great choice for lunch. Staying with four, we had Carne de Porco Alentejano and the Espetada de Frango, both was very delicious and came in big portions. The white house wine, served in 1 liter jugs, is of very good quality and an excellent companion. Finishing the meal with Queijo de Ovelha with cinnamon topping and a glass of bagaçeira would be a good advice. We've been living in Portugal for quite some years and are always happy to discover small restaurants like this when now on vacation.

We had the best time here. The food was exceptional, and the owners were so nice. They came out and talked to us like we were long lost family. I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through this area!
